Heart, mind & soul this week at Tonight Live!
This week we had a large audience including our experienced heckler, Crap Mariner, who reappeared after an unexplained absence last week, although he looked strangely washed out – a mere shadow of himself. We were able to enjoy excellent interviews with our fabulous guests. If you missed out being in the audience you can watch a replay at http://www.slcn.tv/tonight-live-paisley-beebe-17feb08
jokay Wollongong is the Owner & Manager of the Islands of jokaydia. In her other spare time (!!!) she has been developing inworld projects since she first entered SL. Full of purpose & passion she runs tours, classes and workshops for educators who are interested in exploring SL. And she also provides building/Island design services & facilitates inworld events. You can learn more about jokay at http://jokay.com.au or

Andreus ‘Anj’ Gustafson is a great SL entertainer despite being a relatve newcomer to SL and has built up a great following with his performance of classic rock songs from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. The SLRFL, itself, is a fun-filled, overnight event that unites SL individuals throughout the world to celebrate survivors (anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer), remember loved ones and raise money for the fight against cancer. Last year, the SLRFL raised over $120,000.00 US dollars! Visit the SL Relay Website at http://slrfl.org/?cat=3

STOP THIEF!
What a fabulous evening – the sim was full and we had a show stopper as the talented Cylindrian stole our breaths, so Police Chief Drakken had to chase after her and Doctor Ren got us all going again! The crowd enjoyed a great show (albeit a quiet one without the interjections of Crap*) although I believe they tried to put Cylindrian off her interview by making cheeky comments on his behalf.
First up was Drakken Calhoun, Chief of the Virtual Police Department (VPD). We felt very safe as we had many Officers in the audience to support their Chief as he shared with us about the role of the VPD in helping patrol and protect numerous sims from griefers and nuisance avatars. They also provide security advice and investigations in world and have a good process to send error and abuse reports and issues to Linden Labs.
It was wonderful to have the hugely talented Cylindrian Rutabaga, Singer/Songwriter, to join us and perform the debut performance of a song dedicated to her grandparents. It was very moving and we were honoured that she shared it with us. Cylindrian is a passionate soul singer who often performs in RL venues and then broadcasts the show into SL. If you haven’t had the pleasure of hearing Cylindrian’s gorgeous voice we strongly recommend you check out her webpages at: http://myspace.com/gracefolk and

The final guest, Ren Stonecutter, joined SL for fun however his RL background as a physician came to the fore as he became involved in SL medical groups and he ended up founding the Second Life Medical Association (SLMA)which initially started up as a way for medical RPing groups to chat however over time RL medical personnel joined it and it now is often used to present talks about different medical subjects to groups in SL. They also give advice to people regarding RL medical treatment and options available to them. His buisness website can be seen at: whitehurstmd.com
Once again we have great photos from the night – thanks SuperDave!
*Please comment below if you have any news of Crap’s whereabouts!

Wendy had a thriving music career in the 60’s and 70’s and found SL has given her a chance to reinvigorate her career and share her wonderful seductive vocals. To hear samples of her music visit: www.myspace.com/solosinger
Our final inspirational guest was DevilMayCare Jetaime who found a personal tragedy 15 years ago inspired her to create a RL foundation AngelAid http://www.angelaid.com to help children who are sick and or have been injured. Dev and her RL husband also took in many, many foster children with illnesses, emotional problems and trauma in their lives and made a real difference for them. Dev is now using SL to create a new foundation, AngelHeros, to help a wider RL audience to help people worldwide in need. The AngelHero’s beautiful sim of Jewell ( http://slurl.com/secondlife/Jewell/100/53/144 )is the base for AngelHeros and needs your help through sponsorship, fundraisers, volunteers, etc otherwise it will close soon. Holding a torch!
Apologies for the delay in this blog but RL holidays can be so much fun, even when separated from my beloved computer!
Our guests this week certainly followed the tradition of being fascinating to listen to – I highly recommend you watch the replay on SLCN TV (at http://www.slcn.tv/tonight-live-paisley-beebe) if you’ve missed any of the shows!
Our first guest was the beautifully dressed Gabrielle Riel, a Duchess of Carntaigh in the steampunk sims of Calendon, but who is also a DJ who saw a need for a radio station “Radio Riel” ( http://radioriel.org )which now has really taken off especially in the very social and active sims of Calendon. The musical styles include classical, scottish, celtic & Victorian to fit with the theme of the sims.
Our musical guest this week was the talented Picker Apogee. Picker is a ragtime guitarist and his style of jazz playing Paisley admitted is one of her favourites. She loved discussing the ragtime era with Picker and how it lead into Jazz. To hear more samples of his music visit his website at: www.myspace.com/pickerapogee
