Holding a torch!

Apologies for the delay in this blog but RL holidays can be so much fun, even when separated from my beloved computer!

Our guests this week certainly followed the tradition of being fascinating to listen to – I highly recommend you watch the replay on SLCN TV (at http://www.slcn.tv/tonight-live-paisley-beebe) if you’ve missed any of the shows!

Our first guest was the beautifully dressed Gabrielle Riel, a Duchess of Carntaigh in the steampunk sims of Calendon, but who is also a DJ who saw a need for a radio station “Radio Riel” ( http://radioriel.org )which now has really taken off especially in the very social and active sims of Calendon. The musical styles include classical, scottish, celtic & Victorian to fit with the theme of the sims.

Our musical guest this week was the talented Picker Apogee. Picker is a ragtime guitarist and his style of jazz playing Paisley admitted is one of her favourites. She loved discussing the ragtime era with Picker and how it lead into Jazz. To hear more samples of his music visit his website at: www.myspace.com/pickerapogee

Our final guest was Miko Omegamu, Curator of the Evolutions Museum, in Arcana. http://slurl.com/secondlife/arcana/212/101/22/?title=Evolutions%20Museum Miko has created a museum to display and illustrate the development of many of SL’s well known builders showing how their work has evolved from their early pieces to their current work!

Photos from our wonderful SuperDave Spearmann share the colour of the show:

Thankyou to everyone in the audience who held their torches proudly in recognition of Torch Day
