Mexican Night
Sombreros, salsa dresses and colour graced not only the stage but also the audience in this tribute to the wonderful Mexican culture. Paisley enjoyed herself interviewing guests Wilson Voight the Administrator of Instituto Espanol Second Life, Joaquin Gustav an amazingly Argentinan musician and Deco Straaf the Manager of MetaLegal & Manager of the Palace of Fine Arts.
Wilson hooks up people who want to learn Spanish with those who want to teach. He ensures all the resources are in place to insure a positive learning environment.
The Spanish language experience at Instituto EspaƱol consists of 5 areas of focus: Spanish classes, study groups, practice partners, cultural immersion, and language tourism. Check out their campus is located at the Caribbean Sunrise Sim (128,70).
This week’s musician was the talented Joaquin Gustav. A Latin singer/guitarist, Joaquin began his career in SL at the Sim Argentina Eventos back in September of 2007. His specialty is guitar oriented “Popular music Interpretation” and he has worked as a music composer in several Tango RL musical projects around the country. He has also played with the rock band Quijotes and recorded with them “Asado y Sidenafil”, a record that won many awards and local mentions, and was played in the FM “National Radio” and the TV show Futbol del Ascenso (TN Deportivo). Deco Straaf is a multi talented man. He is both the Manager Partner of MetaLegal firm and also the Manager of the Palace of Fine Arts. Paisley spoke with him about MetaLegal a virtual law firm which concentrates on services related to intellectual property, trademarks, corporate law, legal counseling on business opportunities, strategic alliances and joint ventures in SL. You can find out more at However The Palace of Fine Arts is equally interesting as one of the most representative art buildings in Mexico, where all the classical and opera artist perform their shows. The Palace of Fine Arts, in SL, will show Fine Arts from SL and RL artists, paintings, sculptures and musical plays through exhibitions, shows and concerts.
