Galaxy Anniversary

Last week the Galaxy Cruiser Celebrated their 1 year Anniversary! the Party went on all week end. They came up with a fantastic idea for the events. Music, events, games, tours and a room on the boat for 65 lucky guests for 5K a head! It sold out, and I heard that the guests were thrilled! Thankyou to the Galaxy Event crew Bella LaSalle and Bill Stirling for booking me and my live trio again this year for the opening event. We had a wonderfull time! both Craig Scott my bassist and Ray Forster my Pianist just love doing gigs in SL Craig was recovering from a recent operation to his shoulder so a 1 hour gig was really just right for him to get back into his playing. Craig Scott is Australia’s leading stand up bassist so to be out of action for him for 3 months has been hell! Ray lives not far from me and teaches Jazz at a local high-school and has played here and O.S professionally all his life, both very accomplished musicians! If you want to book myself and the band in Duo or trio please IM Fanci Beebe my wonderfull Manager in world. We have done quite a few events both ticketed and free entry, its a very special night to have a real band in Second Life streaming just to you and your patrons!

Frogg Marlow and Jaycatt Nico appeared again on Tonight Live to break in our new Studio! it felt with our new Sydney vista like they were right here in Sydney!

this is the new Tonight Live Studio! you have to come over and see it its really awsome! at Northpoint the girls and guys from Metamakover and the Loft designed and built it, you can see the Sydney Skyline on the back wall it really looks incredible you have that real TV studio feel, wander around and take a look backstage also, Its so very exiting to finally have a real studio that looks so wonderfull! thankyou to Saffia Widdershins the wonderfull host of Metamakover www.metamakeover.wordpress.com and Bethany Heart and Colleen Demoulins of the Loft! what a fantastic job, you can see an add for the loft on the Right hand side of this blog with a link to their shop if you want to check out their incredible furniture and pre-fab builds they are definitly top Class!!!

And The Winner Is!
What a wonderful show this week I know I say that every week but every week is always so interesting and fun with the many varied guests that we have on Tonight live. Sunday started very early for me here on Second Life appearing on Metamakeover first up at 12pm slt which is actually 5am my time! I was up at 3.30am to be there..it was lovely to be guest on a TV rather than the host, Safia and her team are just wonderful, Safia is such a natural host very effervescent and fun. And her director and assistants are very well co-ordinated. We started off at their studio at Northpoint and moved then over to my studio..a movable show! to show off the incredible metamakeover that they did with Bethany Heart and Colleen Demoulins from the Loft on our old and tired looking studio..it was such a lovely experience being on Metamakover and for those of you that love a great before and after…which I do ..I don’t care what it is actually …diet before and after…face before and after and ..Houses before and after Metamakover will really fulfill your Voyeuristic tenancies (which we all have….) I don’t know really about you but I just love looking through peoples houses..usually invited…or open for inspection
or in magazines of course I wouldn’t be soo rude to do that unasked..this show gives you carte Blanche to do just that I love Metamakeover…so off we went to the studio for the big Reveal!
I tell you the studio has just blown me away, its soooo grand now..so professional. It will take us some time to feel at home but not long I already feel it is ours..
the Tonight Live team all absolutely love it..and all of you can walk through it at any time other than when we are filming there at 6pm slt Sunday. Bethany and Colleen from the Loft have an absolutely wonderful shop in SL …I love everything in that shop honestly its just a case of what I want and where it would fit, the textures are absolutely spectacular so beautifully done and expertly put together the style goes from Modern to classic, and they have some really really great freebies, even an entire shop and a cinema that I grabbed cause one day….when I have my own sim I would love to have my own venue or cinema being a Film junky as I am …Bethany also worked on the Newseaum which we are featuring on our show in 2 weeks!
We also announced the winner of our Best Shopping District in Second Life! and the winner was the Best of SL Boulevard a simply gorgeous shopping mall with everything on offer and an all round spectacular build really something quite out of the ordinary we just couldn’t go past that one! So we will be taking the show to the Best of SL to film there! Congratulations go to owner Frolic Mills and his team.
the other runners up were in number 2 place Retrology a great 1950′s sim with all your favorite 1950′s style shops we all loved that one! very quirky and lovely to spend time in. Then at number 3 we had To the Nines the LBD Baxter sim, really lovely atmosphere and of course featuring LeeZu Baxter’s shop really a lovely job! then at number 4 out of 12 entries in total, was the spectacular Lookr & Prim Designs a new and very well designed Sim with the most amazing furniture! and clothing. The judging was certainly a really tough assignment and we had our disagreements about what we thought should place..but we were very happy with our choices and in full agreement in the end. All the nominees were of an incredibly high standard and I’d like to thank all of them listed below for entering and being really good sports about the competition! Best wishes to all!

The Best Shopping District In SL Nominees!!
On Sunday night June 1st, 2008 Paisley Beebe and The Diva Rocking made a live on-air announcement of the final 12 nominees for the Tonight Live Sim Search “Best Shopping District” competition. Next Sunday June 15th , 2008 they will be announcing the winner and 3 runners up live on the show. The winner of this competition will be a guest on Tonight Live with Paisley Beebe a few weeks from now while the first ever “on location” show is filmed in their sim before a live audience. Really bright funky sim with a 1950’s Hairspray as in the movie, feel

A very realistic up market shopping Sim with a great layout and well known and not so well known shops.
To the Nines at the To The Nines Sim (with Leezu Baxter)
Beautiful pond and interesting layout Main Shop LBD designs under the hill, wonderful textures really atmospheric
Retrology at the Retrology Sim
very cool 1950’s style sim with all your favourite 1950’s retro shops including
5th Ave NYC at Masterpiece Island
Very 5th Avenue with Tree lined Streets and great statues ect..
Le Zoo at the Le Zoo Sim
Yes its in a Zoo, Second Style’s sim with shops and great Zoo features including an underground walkway under the shark and fish tank, very innovative
Juicy Boardwalk at the Juicy Sim
Very Cute shops by the beach very Venice beach I would have thought with lovely little known boutique shops.
