This week on Tonight LIve with Paisley Beebe 27th Sept 09 6pm slt at Tonight Live Studios at Northpoint.

Portrait Chantal Harvey

Chantal Harvey one of Second Life’s most respected Machinimaographers, has just been made Producer of the 48 hour Machinima Film Project, which will be held on the 5th Nov 09. On this weeks Tonight Live with Paisley Beebe, she talks serious Machinima, and how the 48 HFP is going to be planned and acheived, where each artist has only 48 hours to create a 4 to 7 minute film  and send it in for judging. It goes to 75 cities, and to virtual worlds/games now too. We also get a sneek preview of her yet to be released short film!

Bues HeronAlaskan singer/songwriter Blues Heron streams his live shows from his home studio on a small island on the coast of Alaska. His name is Blues but he writes and plays in a wide variety of styles. He is most influenced by songwriters who have a message or tell a good story backed with some great guitar work like Richard Thompson, Keb Mo, Bruce Cockburn, Eric Bibb and Jack Johnson. Blues will be entertaining us with one of his compositions and talking music with Paisley on this weeks show.

Saffia Widdershins Cue 5 three entire sims_001
Last Week reports came out of Shopping Cart Disco and Plurk that a large amount of content from 3 Sims, with work from Designer Rebel Hope, Jeweller RH Engel, and Furniture Designer Susan Ramos had been stolen and passed around the grid for free. The Thief then taunted his/her victims with his crime publicly on both plurk and on The Shopping Cart Disco blog. This horrendous act sent outrage around the grid, with one Publisher Saffia Widdershins immediately penning a  post on the Prim Perfect blog titled “Enough”. In a month where Linden Labs are apparently going to be sued in a Class Action for basically breaching their duty of care to content creators in Second Life, by allowing Thieves to use the platform of Second Life to sell their stolen goods, is the time right for a protest? a call to action? Saffia Widdershins is the publisher of Prim Perfect Magazine and Host and Producer of Designing Worlds a Treet.tv Show, dedicated to showcasing the content creators of Second Life . She along with some other outraged parties have started a campaign called “Step Up” a proposed day of action and education about Content Theft, planned for the 5th November. Saffia will be on Tonight Live next Sunday to talk about her perspective on Linden Labs responsibility for Stolen Content, what should be done and what “Step Up’s” aims are.
This Show is likely to be packed so come early 5.30pm slt support all the guests, and be involved.
You can watch it online at Treet.tv on the Live Channel on your in world Treet.TV screen (pick up a free copy from the studio) or come join us at the studio to see it all live being filmed. Arrive at 5.30-6pm slt for the filming which will start at 6pm slt.

This Week ON Tonight Live

This week 13th September on “Tonight Live with Paisley Beebe” 6pm slt at The Tonight Live Studio

Apple Mackay Cue 1 The Unofficial Guide

Nasus Dumart and her partner Apple MacKay are co-authors of the latest book on Second Life® Titled “The Unofficial Guide to Building Your Buisness In The Virtual World of Second Life®”

Apple owns Molaskey’s Pub in partnership with Katydid Something – Nassus is the Director of Marketing for Molaskey’s Pub and Producer / Host of The Guest Lecture Series. What makes a successful business in Second Life, and who is achieving this and how?

portrait+Niles+ComptonWe also meet Niles Compton a Country Music Singer who has been a musician all his working life. His band was one of the starter bands at a Johnny Cash concert. His voice has been described as one of the “best voices” you will ever hear.

Mankind Tracer Cue 1 Portrait Mankind TracerIf you are in the Music scene in Second Life and haven’t heard about Mankind Tracers proposition to the music industry for “pay for entry” Venue arrangements, then you don’t spend enough time here in Second Life…Some love the idea, some hate it and have had very passionate and some violent reactions to it. Mankind has held a few concerts now under his newly proposed system, and had time to process the feedback from the community both Musicians Agents and Venue owners. I’ll be asking Mankind some tough questions about his proposal, and catching up with the result in his experience, of this new system of asking audience members at music venues to pay a fee to stay and listen to his concerts. If audiences refuse to pay they can  be under this new system be ejected from the venue. Mankind Tracer is considered to be the highest profile and most popular Musician in Second Life, he feels he is taking a huge risk to that popularity by implementing his new system. How is it going so far?

Cylindrian Rutabaga and Beth Odets On Live n Kickin!

This week on 15th Sept Tuesday 9pm slt “Live n Kickin” we have Cylindrian Rutabaga and Beth Odets playing in relay at Maxwell Graf’s Sim (see pic below) LagNmoor right next to Rustica, a incredibly atmospheric sim with a medieval theme, it has spectacular views with one of the best castles I’ve ever seen in SL. Cylindrian Rutabaga, is Second Life’s queen of live music without a doubt, she has been featured in many real life news articles and has to be SL’s best known female Musician. She will be accompanied by her dear friend and fellow musician Beth Odets, who is an incredible Fiddle and Violin player. Beth is known for being able to play along with just about any style of music, she is the improvisors maestro, she has her own Band “Fish Fry Bingo” who play extensively on SL and in Real Life. To hear both Cyl and Beth in relay together is a partnership made in SL heaven, you will not want to miss this performance in such a setting!

Sailors Delight Might be nice..._001

Its bound to be a very popular show! and we hope that attendees will dress accordingly any old fashioned outfit will do the more over the top the better :)

Can’t Wait!
