This Week On Tonight Live, Mo Hax on Enterprise, Katia Keres Singer, Jokay Wollongong Edu

This Sunday Nov 8th 6PM slt New Directions for Business and Education in Second Life.

Jokay Wollongong is freelance designer, educational technologist and facilitator based in Wollongong, Australia. Her work is focussed on virtual worlds design, web development, educational technology, social media and facilitation. She runs Jokadia an educational facility here in Second Life. Recently she was issued with a “Take Down” notice by Linden Labs for her Education in SL Wiki site, She has complied with the notice, and now wonders what the future is in SL for Educationalists. She is opening a facility at Reaction Grid as are many other Educationalists, is this the start of an EDU exodus?

Katia Keres has a voice to Die for. This is in no dispute. Through several reviews and her fan base, her performance value on the Second Life stage is extremily highly rated!

Originally from Brazil, Katia now resides in the U.S where is her voice taking her? It should be taking her Far!

The Last few days has been dominated by talk on the forums and blogs about the newly released Nebraska, or SL Enterprise Beta as it is known now. The reaction is indeed mixed, some welcoming it, and others decrying it as being the beginning of the end, the main grid is being cut out of the deal according to many.

Mo Hax previously an IBM mentor and now Co-Founder EDTECH Retreat recently wrote a piece called “The Nebraska Dilemma” (Second Life Behind the Firewall) on his blog, before the release outlining why he felt that Business coming into a Virtual environment  actually don’t want walled gardens they want, what the broader Grid on SL has to offer….Through his experience in IBM he has first hand experience of the first experiment in behind the firewall grids.

Frogg Marlowe and Jaycatt Nico on Live n Kickin Tues 9pm

Thanks to owner Drift Monde, Frogg Marlowe played his first gig in SL at The Lily Pad Lounge over four years ago. Soon after he began playing with Jaycatt Nico and together they’ve become a Music Icon in SL. Thier shows are extremely popular, and as well as having a large loyal fan base, they entertain and delight the live music lovers of Second Life, playing just about every weekend. Frogg and Jaycatt’s notoriety in SL has not escaped the attention of the music industry and to date they have been interviewed by, amongst others, Rolling Stone Magazine and MTV.   Check out more and their new solo CD’s here.
