Huge Show this Week on Tonight Live!
This weeks show has a mix of awsomeness you are going to love!
Axi Kurmin, Nance Brody, and McCabe Maxstead
The Psychology of Fashion is fascinating in virtual worlds. Why is it such BIG buisness! This Sunday the 12th Sept we talk with Axi Kurmin who owns Virtual Alchemy Photography, Damned Good Design amongst other things. Why is virtual Fashion such a huge money earner in Second Life? a real life money earner for sooo many people. What do we as buyers of fashion love about it? Axi Kurmin wrote a very interesting post that caught my eye, about the comparisions of virtual Fashion to real life Fashion and and why we spend so much on the virtual, and why it brings in such a huge haul of Virtual Dollars.
This weeks show we also meet Nance Brody A wonderfull Singer Songwriter who joined Second Life in 2006. She established herself very quickly as a Musician of substance. With her penchant for Jazz, Blues and Blue grass, and Rawk! audiences were immeadiately smitten with her incredible sultry smokey voice. Nance has a huge following in Second Life, her shows have been described as a not only a wonderfull experience musically, but also a place to have a great time. Her music has a wonderfull humor woven into it, but at the same time she can be incredibly moving.
This weeks show also features the owner of the 3rd Party Second Life viewer Imprudence, McCabe Maxstead. Imprudence has been in the news these few weeks touted as an alternative to the now banned Emerald viewer. The Imprudence viewer is known as being the viewer that most closely resembles the Emerald viewer with some of the most popular features it incorporated, but its always been the little baby brother to Emerald…however the big difference between Imprudence and Emerald is that no one associated with Emerald has anything to do with this viewer. While the Emerald developers have now all been tainted with the brush of previous greifers and hackers, Imprudence has proved itself to be truely transparent and open in its development, with a viewer that the majority of Ex/Emerald users will no doubt turn to if they are looking for a veiwer that it is safe to use, similar in style to Emerald which is based on the L.L 1.23 viewer, but nothing like the Linden Lab 2.0 viewer that has been unanimously rejected by the majority of Second Life users. McCabe Maxstead has agreed to an exclusive interview with Tonight Live. Paisley will be asking what has happened recently with use of the viewer since the Emerald Scandal? Where will they be going now? What features are included in the viewer? and how will they also comply with the Linden Lab requirements for all 3rd Party viewers. Why should we trust Imprudence? and what are they promising us?

It’s lovely to see Axi promoted this way… save for two glaring and extremely upsetting problems (especially for a public blog with such a wide readership).
a) her name is misspelled, several times…
b) that’s not a picture of Axi at all…
Were this me, I would be very, very upset to be presented to the public this way, despite the kind words.
Agreed on Dare’s comment.
It’s absolutely brilliant seeing Shortstack’s recognition, if she were not Wren pictured above. (Whom is actually a staff member at Gothika.)
I agree with Dare’s comment. It was really fabulous to know that Axi (who works *very* hard doing what she does between her stores) was promoted with so much well earned praise; and like Dare and Lokii, it seems to completely drain all the kindness and promotion when her name is not spelled right, nor is the photo accompanying her mention even a photo *of her*.
Sorry about that folks…That pic was taken from Aki’s own post about the Psycology of Virtual Fashion I put it up there not to represent Axi but as a representative of Virtual Fashion. Axi approved the use of that pic. I did not have a Pic of Axi although one was requested. Also I don’t always put pics of the guests on the posts…as you can see I did not put a pic of McCabe Maxstead on the post but the Imprudence logo. I should have made it clear that it was not supposed to be her. I have done so now. Will also fix spelling error. I hope that you all enjoyed the interview however I certainly did!
Somehow I doubt Axi wouldn’t have sent you a picture if asked, she has many considering she’s the spokes model for Dare Designs. Plus the post you took that picture from actually has pictures of Axi on it. Really not the best of excuses and a bad cover-up.
You might wanna talk to her about that
The picture on the post was meant to be an example of Second Life Fashion NOT a picture of Axi….it was not clear and I apologised for that and I fixed it. If you look at all the other posts on this blog, I do not put pictures of each guest up on the blog, I put a picture up sometimes of them and sometimes something to illustrate the story. Axi and I have worked it out. Please enjoy the interview after all thats the most important part of having her on.
